Is it legal to sub-let apartments for holiday / short term lets in the UK? I assume so, if both parties understand and agree as such. The problem in this case was the director would never provide me copy rental agreements!

There were obviously a few caveats due to the director’s reticence (I wonder why…) to provide any meaningful ability for me (or a potential purchaser) to do any reasonable due diligence as to the veracity of the information being supplied.
Surprisingly, I did get a couple of offers I and my client considered pretty reasonable and in line with my expectations. However, the business did end up going back to the incumbent management who made the best offer. Probably for the best in this case!
